Take the A1 motorway to Florence (Firenze) and exit at Firenze Scandicci. From here, enter the Firenze-Pisa-Livorno motorway towards Firenze. Procede onto viale Talenti and viale Etruria until you reach the “Viali di Circonvallazione”, the city ring road. Merge onto this and continue as far as Piazza della Libertà, where you turn onto Via Cavour towards the city center (centro). Turn right at Via Sant'Anna. Then take the second left (Via Zara) and continue as far as the crossroads with the stop sign (Via XXVII Aprile). Turn left and then left again onto Via San Gallo.
Hotel Orto de’ Medici is a short 10 minute walk from the Santa Maria Novella train station. You can reach us by taxi or by bus (no. 1 or 17) to the closest bus stop, Piazza San Marco. Bus tickets can be bought at the newsstands (Tabbachi) inside the train station.
Florence’s Galileo Galilei airport is 10 km from the hotel. A taxi ride costs about € 25. Alternatively, take the city bus to the main train station, Santa Maria Novella: from here you can either walk to our hotel or take another bus (no. 1 or 17) to the closest stop, Piazza San Marco. Transfer service with a private driver and for groups of up to 16 people is available upon request. An air-conditioned 4-seater car costs € 55. Please book in advance.
